CEMSDI at the eChallenges Conference
The CEMSDI project was presented to the eChallenges e-2011 Conference audience in liaison with Net-Eucen and eGovPoliNet projects.
The eChallenges e-2011 Conference (Florence, Italy – October, 2011) was hosted by the Regional Government of Tuscany. This was the twenty-first in a series of Annual Conferences supported by the European Commission and hosted by national governments, which yearly attract wide range of audiences from leading commercial, government and research organisations around the world to share knowledge, experiences, lessons learnt, good practices and innovation. This year’s volume was attended by about 200 people.
The specific goals of e-2011 were to promote ICT knowledge sharing and innovation among the participants, promote the exchange of experiences about the current state of e-Adoption at a sectoral, national or regional level and stimulate rapid take-up of Research and Technology Development (RTD) results by industry and in particular SMEs.
CEMSDI was promoted at an exhibition booth, where Conference participants had a chance to take a glimpse at its poster, take a brochure or have a detailed discussion about the project, its goals and planned results with representatives of the Consortium. There was a lot of interest among passers-by especially about the pilot actions, their results and outcomes into the future. Many learned about the importance of the initiative, as regards to the application of the Local Digital Agendas in small and medium municipalities and to the significance of facilitating ICTs organisation within local governments.
