Name of the project: A3Learning: Learning Anywhere, Anytime, from Anyone
Duration: 1.12.2022 – 31.05.2025
Funding: the project is co-funded by the EU from the Erasmus + programme
Project website: https://a3learning.eu
EPMA‘s role: project coordinator and partner organisation
About the project:
A3Learning is introducing a new teaching methodology to primary and secondary education that aims to combine the benefits of distance and face-to-face learning. The blended method combines the benefits of distance learning with the irreplaceable values of face-to-face learning through the development of procedures, methodologies, and tools for the implementation of blended learning. By implementing the blended approach, the ability to study from anywhere, at any time and together with anyone, the choice of when, how, and what to study will be promoted and combined with the advantages of full-time methods, the innovative blended methodology will help students to maintain easy contact with each other, reduce barriers and distances and allow easy communication without any restrictions.
The main goal of the project is to design and develop a competence model, training course and educational content that will strengthen the necessary skills and competencies and increase the qualification of teachers to support the work in a combined way. At the same time, the project will seek to create a community composed of teachers, students, and families to ensure good communication and a strong interactive process of co-creating the learning environment.
Strategic outcomes of the project:
- Competence model – a comprehensive set of skills/competencies needed to implement the A3Learning method.
- Training programme for teachers
- Methodology
- Online platform – will contain the training programme and other project results.
- Community
Planned events and activities within the project:
The development of the competency model will be done in a co-creation process with teachers. A survey will be conducted among teachers to define the skills needed for effective application of blended learning (especially related to selecting, creating, using, and managing digital resources for blended learning, teaching with digital tools and resources, assessing learning outcomes, empowering digital tools and resources in teaching, actively engaging and empowering students for effective e-learning through blended learning approaches, etc.). A learning environment suitable for blended learning will then be created together with teachers.
In Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Italy and Portugal, a pilot training of 10 primary and secondary school teachers in all partner countries will start in October 2024, where teachers and pupils will acquire and test new skills that can be applied in the classroom. The training will last for 3 months and will be based on the following activities: face-to-face training, self-study in the form of e-learning and assignment of practical tasks/exercises that teachers will apply during.
Multiplier events will take place in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Portugal in April 2025, where those interested in the topic of blended learning and other stakeholders will meet representatives of the project partners and participants of the pilot training. The aim of the event is to present the results of the project to the participants and to interest or even involve them in a suitable way in the use of A3Learning methods and tools in their work.
In September 2024, a practical workshop will be held at the international event All Digital Summit led by our organization and the final international conference organized by the partner DEEPBLUE in Rome, where the results of the project will be presented, experiences will be shared, and the aim is to reach the widest possible professional public and disseminate the results of the project.
